obviously like your website but you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth nevertheless I will certainly come back again.

That is Raymond standing at the sidewalk and the picture was taken from across the street I'm sure by my Dad with his Roloflex 4X4 camera he had all of his adult life. He would have been 52 when this picture was taken. In the 20's, 30's. and 40's all professional cameras were 4X4 for Press, or 6x6 for studio, or 8x8 was standard for TV. There was a 1 to 1 ratio measured in grain resolution through the lens to the emulsion on the film. This is why most cameras had a bellows to correct and focus. lighting was measured in shutter time and you better film was very slow. A 4X4 could be blown up quite large
without major quality loss.

The white on the right side of the house is the greenhouse. The single door garage opened as a double door and the white turned post for the "4359" can be seen on the far left front. I remember my dad having that post turned and he installed it himself. He painted the top that he knew he could not reach on the ground then stood it up and then painted the bottom.

It was amazing how he could get things done by thinking and planning it out, yet when I was young I never noticed that he had a problem and I don't think he did either.

The house was all white when we lived there. Those beautiful 45ft pine trees gone is really sad. They were like a tent in the rain with a soft foot of pine needle mattress when you wanted to rest. Mushrooms grew under the needle bed and the big oned came up through it. There are the poles in the this picture on the far right. They were about 18ft apart and went 700 feet to the end of the lot. They were healthy long needle evergreens and like Christmas all year around.

Down the driveway toward the house is a flagstone patio tha my mother
built and it had a original Erie Canal lamp and a double concrete bench and a bird bath. I can't see it but I don't see why anyone would ever take it away. The back yard is bigger than the front and you can see the front is huge. It had 2 official size tennis courts in it.

Thanks so much. I'm sorry not to have called you personally. It's been a very difficult time. One thing that has helped is hearing from so many who cared for him.

It was with great sorrow that we heard of Ray's passing. We didn't know until recently. We've known Ray for many years and will miss him. He was his own person and we'll always remember him fondly.
